Meet Paige
P7 Strategies is a woman-owned small business led by Paige Malott, Principal Advisor. For over 10 years, she has led initiatives for high-speed rail and tram capital projects in the United States and Canada. She is skilled in strategizing effective communications to build support of projects and addressing reputational challenges. She has worked with Mineta Transportation Institute, American Public Transportation Association, Downtown Seattle Association, City of Seattle, and Amazon.com as well as non-profit organizations and small businesses in the Pacific Northwest and Midwest.
Most recently, she has worked with legislators to advance funding for the Cascadia high-speed rail project, which connects Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia at speeds of 250mph (400 kmh) or greater. She has also collaborated with the business community and policymakers to advance streetcar and tram projects, including the Center City Connector in Seattle and the Cincinnati Streetcar in Ohio.
Paige specializes in researching megaregions and the integration of high-speed rail stations at airports. Her work has been published in three academic journals and featured with: Mineta Transportation Institute, International Union of Railways (UIC), Fundación Caminos de Hierro, Eno Center for Transportation, and Transportation Research Board. She has delivered presentations on high-speed rail at conferences in the U.S., Canada, Spain, and Morocco.
Paige is a member of the International Union of Railways (UIC), and American Public Transportation Association High-Speed Rail and Intercity Rail Committee. She completed her M.Sc. in Transportation Management at San José State University with certification in High-Speed Rail Management. She is a recipient of Mass Transit Magazine’s 40 Under Forty Award for career accomplishments.
